Fever in the body expresses the activity of the immune system and the fight against an external invader. <\/span>It helps the immune system and makes it difficult for pathogens to multiply.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reducing fever delays recovery: <\/b>Up to 39\u00b0C (102.2\u00b0F), if the child’s condition is good and they are alert, consider their condition and not necessarily the temperature. <\/span>If the fever is low but the child is suffering, it is advisable to reduce the fever using natural methods if possible. <\/span>Above 39\u00b0C (102.2\u00b0F), it is recommended to reduce the fever in any case. <\/b>For infants up to 2 months old, if two measurements taken 3 hours apart show a temperature exceeding 38.2\u00b0C (100.8\u00b0F), consult a physician.<\/b><\/p>\n

Body Temperature Measurement Sites<\/b><\/h2>\n

The most accurate body sites for temperature measurement are: mouth (somewhat difficult with small children) <\/span>rectum\u2014usually half a degree higher than the mouth but accurate; less comfortable for some children. <\/span>Ear and armpit are not recommended\u2014not accurate, provide only an estimate.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nutrition and Diet for a Sick Child <\/strong><\/h2>\n

A sick child usually will not show signs of hunger\u2014try to feed basic and simple foods <\/span>vegetable soup, chicken soup, rice, cooked vegetables and chicken. <\/span>Recommended infusions: mint tea, lemon verbena, lemon balm\u2014cooling and calming. <\/span>Elderberry\u2014reduces fever, helps with breathing. <\/span>Chamomile\u2014reduces fever, <\/span>white mallow\u2014for sore throat.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Natural Treatment Methods <\/strong><\/h2>\n

    So how can you reduce fever naturally? <\/b>Vinegar\u2014a mixture of 1\/3 vinegar and 2\/3 water, <\/span>soak cloth strips (preferably cotton) in the mixture and place on the lower part of the legs (lower calves) for half an hour or more.
